About the Role

A fast-growing, venture-backed AI research company is seeking its first Marketing Lead to build and scale the marketing function from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to define the brand, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for a company operating at the center of foundation model development and serving leading AI organizations globally.

Responsibilities

  • Build the company's marketing and go-to-market function from scratch.
  • Develop and execute brand strategy across LinkedIn, X, content marketing, events, launch campaigns, videos, and positioning.
  • Establish the company as a top destination for exceptional AI researchers, engineers, operators, and technical talent.
  • Create market perception that reinforces the company's reputation for research excellence, technical depth, and industry-leading data quality.
  • Drive inbound demand generation and reduce reliance on outbound sales efforts.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and sales leadership on: Technical messaging, Customer-facing content, Case studies, Thought leadership, Press opportunities
  • Represent the company at 4-5 major AI conferences and industry events annually.
  • Identify and invest in the highest-leverage marketing channels, adapting quickly as opportunities emerge.
  • Own execution end-to-end rather than managing external teams or agencies.
  • Help establish the foundation for a future marketing team as the company grows.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in Marketing, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, or a related role at a B2B or highly technical company.
  • Deep understanding of AI, machine learning, and foundation model ecosystems.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical audiences.
  • Proven experience developing positioning, messaging, and content for technical buyers or users.
  • Generalist marketing skill set spanning: LinkedIn X/Twitter Content marketing Events Product launches Brand positioning
  • Hands-on builder mentality with a strong bias toward execution.
  • Ability to operate independently in a highly ambiguous, fast-moving startup environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with a willingness to execute day-to-day work.
  • Demonstrated ability to ramp quickly and take ownership with minimal direction.
